Partisan rhetoric is at an all time high as it hisses and spits its way across nations, in a last ditch effort to maintain relevance. While the average citizen scrounges for pay, political parties spend billions of dollars maintaining divisive ideology. One of the most embedded political platforms, purposefully divides city voters from farmers who live in the country, and the results can be seen from a birds eye view. A satellite picture of a nation taken at night, is exactly the same as a voters map. The city lights vote one way, and the sparsely populated areas vote another.
Partisan politics nurtures the fear that hunters and gatherers cannot co-exist with office workers in the cities, and that meat eaters and vegans have no common ground. However, the truth is that the country mouse and the city mouse have more in common than not. They share the same need for resources, medical care, education and infrastructure, and there is a growing trend that they are becoming more appreciative of each other.
Despite how it looks, the walls between people are coming down, and soon the city mouse and the country mouse will choose their leaders from amongst themselves, people who understand that we all depend on one another. God made it that way on purpose. Soon, partisan politics will fade away, as people's fears and distrust of each other fade as well. The politics of the future will become issue based, rather than party based, and citizens will routinely vote on contracts as needed, rather than for people or parties.
Personal space, personal respect, and good business management, will be the lines in the sand of the future, and opportunity and generosity will be the hallmarks of a life well lived.
