I am Free! Free!
Just look at me,
I can do whatever I please,
No one tells me,
Where to go,
Life is but a breeze.
I work for myself,
I do what I want,
No one pushes me,
Tell the devil,
To take a hike,
For I am utterly Free!
But then I died,
And stood in line,
At the pearly gates of heaven,
And up ahead,
To my dread,
Was the devil … crumpled and graven.
"I'll do what I want!"
He brazenly cried,
"I'm free to do as I please!"
And then an angel,
Sang a note,
And darkness fell to its knees.
"I'll do what I want!"
Is not a noble chant,
On the edge of the Lake of Fire,
Where woeful souls,
Wish they'd spent,
Life in the service of God's hire.

Humans are all about rights,
And rightly so,
We demand rights to an endless number of things,
Rights to independence and form,
Rights to freedom of thought, association and voice,
Rights to pursue happiness and belonging,
Rights to pursue art, commerce and invention,
And one would think that this is the hallmark of the human spirit,
But it isn't ...
The hallmark of the human spirit,
Is that humans try to strip all of these rights from God.

We have not been put here to solve human-sized problems ... we have been put here to solve God-sized problems.
We have not been put here to win wars, or build it bigger, faster or more sophisticated ... that can be done in days.
We were put here to love the unlovable ... that is where the true calling lays.
We give billions to the suffering through thousands of charities, but nothing will change until we have the clarity, to redeem that which has gone wrong.
SW - December 4, 2018
The highest calling you will ever face, will be in the presence of people who want you to fail … and the calling will be to love them.

The goal of those who crucified Jesus, wasn't to kill Him, it was to force Him to let go of heaven.

A little black-capped chickadee,
Sang a song,
On the tree this morning,
Just before dawn,
But when I looked,
There was something wrong,
T’was a wood-pecker on the feeder,
Staying way too long.
The cardinal darted,
Behind a planter,
The barn-swallow,
Pretended not to look,
But the chickadee said,
“I want to be fed!”
And flew in to the feeder,
Like a rook.
She kept her distance,
And grabbed a seed,
She showed the others,
And took the lead,
Back and forth,
They darted and fed,
The littlest birds,
Were the bravest instead.
Though very tiny,
She was as fast as a jet,
And with a job to do,
She would not forget,
Through the pain of winter,
And ravenous threat,
She would sing the song,
“It’s not over yet!”

Thank you God for winter-blue skies,
And feathered pencil-lined trees,
Thank you God for diamond-dust snow,
And frosted dried-oak leaves.
Thank you too for pale-pink dusks,
And twinkling Christmas lights,
Thank you for the fire-place heat,
That warms our homes at night.
Thank you for the just-baked treats,
In cookie-cutter shapes,
Thank you for the sprinkles,
That sparkle when they're baked.
A special thank you most of all,
For Jesus ... this time of year,
Who would have thought that a little child,
Could make all of life so dear?

Our education systems are getting better,
But leaders still say,
“There is not enough money to address the individual”,
However, until we do,
In one way or another,
We will spend the same or more on forms of incarceration.

When Winter wanes,
And gives way to Spring,
To lift the veil,
For birds to sing,
Will they come,
With snow on the ground?
Will their hope,
Be that profound?
The little creatures,
Looking for seed,
Against the storms,
And Winter wind,
Surely they known,
That one of these days,
Spring,
Will come again!

Happy Easter 2018 !!!
John 14:3 (KJV)
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Bumper to bumper,
Sky to ground,
The blood of Jesus,
All around,
To His covenant,
We are bound,
Happy, Blessed,
Safe and sound.

Then swiftly as not,
To Common Ground,
I stood between,
The rift,
Where day and night,
Come together as one,
And under the stars,
We drift.

In the future, knowing a secret will be the least of secrets. As lifestyle data becomes unveiled, the act of tapping a secret will itself be made known, and what we do with it, will be the greater importance of the two.

God does not vote.
God appoints.
People vote, and people appoint, but it is really just wishful thinking unless God is in it.

Years ago my physics teacher placed a large, thick-walled glass jar on his desk and pumped the air out of it, creating a low pressure vacuum chamber on the inside. The higher pressure on the outside threatened to break the glass, and to force a high pressure stream of air back through the seal.
In a similar way, empty humans may seem strong on the outside but they are vulnerable because they have nothing to push back with. That is why we need the Holy Spirit.
Jesus warned the disciples not to leave Jerusalem without being “endued with power from on high”, Luke 24:49 (KJV). Jesus knew that empty jars could not change the world, but a jar filled with the “Holy Spirit” could.

Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)
... be filled with the Spirit [of God].
Matthew 12: 43-45 (KJV)
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
I met a man the other day,
Who didn’t believe in God,
Said they're all a bunch of hypocrites,
Sycophants and frauds,
And then he said, “I’m done with them!”
And I said, “What are the odds”?
“Me too! I’m done with them!
What are the odds?
Me too! I’m done with them!
What are the odds?”

The more there is of God, then the less there is of rules, because love carries with it the Spirit of God.
However, the more there is of darkness, then the more we need rules to cover the events that should never have happened in the first place.

There is a Mighty Roar upon its way,
It has already left Heaven's Gate,
And whether or not it is good or bad,
Will depend upon how we wait.

The risk is in what we do and say,
But also in what we fail to pray,
If we are silent or if we shout,
The risk is what we often leave out.
Prayers can be fevers of omens and signs,
To rally angels o’re demons and crimes,
But where is the peace? Isn’t it a must?
Why do we risk … to leave out the trust?

The race is not to the finish line,
Because we are already there,
The race is not to see who is first,
Because that is already clear,
The race is but for God to prove,
Who will try their best,
Through trials, tests and circumstances,
The race is to … Enter His Rest.

One day when I was making chocolate chip cookies, I dropped one of the chips on the floor, and as I bent down to pick it up, I heard God ask, “How much trouble was that?”
I answered that it wasn’t any trouble at all, and in fact, it was so little trouble, that I hadn’t even noticed that I was doing it until God brought it to my attention. I had picked up the chip from off the floor, as an automatic behaviour, completely without stress of any kind.
Then God said that all of my encounters should be that way. God said that with Him, nothing is trouble.

When humans find themselves in trouble, they look to the bible for the promises of God to hang onto. However, we often claim them as if they are life-buoys thrown off of God’s ship into the ocean to save us from drowning.
In contrast, the promises of God are not "things", but are God Himself. Each word carries the full power and essence of God within it, and has the ability to perform the same works that created and hold the stars in place.
SW - January 29, 2018
The hands on a clock are like the pages in a book, a book that has already been written, and the promises of God have already come to pass.
Humans view a promise as a hope of things to come, whereas for God, a promise is that which is already done.

Courage is better than a pious spirit,
And gold in the pocket is better than none,
Swearing is better than gossip,
But neither really gets the job done.
The River Jordan waits for us,

While the universe prays for us,
And has a bit of fun.

It is fascinating that gender neutral language has taken so long to emerge, but it is even more fascinating that the universe has waited until now, when there are no more secrets, to raise up a generation that can truly understand the need for transparency.

Previous generations were obsessed with borders that controlled land, religion, gender, and politics. However, the future will not have those kinds of borders.
Personal space and personal respect will be the lines in the sand of the future, and opportunity and generosity will be the hallmarks of a life well lived.

Who would you vote for?
The left or the right?
Who represents justice?
Who delivers the light?
Have you seen too much,
Of the underbelly?
Has that kettle of fish,
Become way too smelly?
Whatever the case,
You need to be clever,
Because that Partisan Ship,
Will soon sink forever.

“Love God and Love Others!”
It’s pretty "Simple Stuff",
Yet powerful enough to change the world,
And call the devil’s bluff.
As religion and gender bias melt away,
And politics takes a dive,
People will return to “Simple Stuff”,
To know why they’re alive.

We are transitioning from “philosophy” to “results”.
Traditional styles of government, education, religion, and social memes are dissolving, in favour of systems that provide tangible results.
It is not enough to say that an institution provides results, if the metrics prove otherwise.
